CDB16V Module

CDB16V is a CanBus module with CanOpen protocol mountable on a standard DIN rail, which provides 16 digital optocoupled channels that can be used either as inputs, or outputs.

The space required for installation is minimized by the vertical design of the module.

When used as inputs the channels can be connected to buttons, limit switches, proximity sensors, photocells, etc.

When used as outputs the channels can directly drive contactors coils, and hydraulic or pneumatic valves solenoids, etc.

Nominal current output is 0.5 A for each output. In the cases a higher current is required consider that the maximum current limit for each 4 channel group is 2 A.

Only one wire is available, the one for the signal. Power supply, and common links are not available on the module, and must be directly connected to the devices.

6 groups of  spring-cage connectors are provided:

  • One 4 points group for 24 V power supply, 2 for the module that are decoupled from the 2 for the channels;
  • One 8 points group the CanBus line, connected in pairs with the following scheme:
    • left +24V_CAN
    • middle left GND_CAN
    • middle right CANH
    • right CANL
  • Four 4 points groups for channel connections, 1 for each channel
