CAI8

The CAI8 module is a CAN device that uses the CanOpen protocol and is designed to be mounted on a standard omega rail. This module offers 8 analog inputs. An interesting feature of this module is the flexibility of the input stage, which can be modified via software. This allows the card to read different types of signals, offering greater versatility in applications.

In particular, the module can be configured to read differential voltage signals with a dynamic range of 0..+10V or ‑10..+10V. Alternatively, it is possible to configure the card to read current signals with a dynamic range of 4..20mA or 0..20mA. Furthermore, the module supports the use of potentiometric transducers, which can be powered directly by the module via a stabilized and short-circuit protected reference voltage.
