Polaris CNC/PLC

The Polaris System represents an advanced solution in the panorama of single board industrial controllers, developed and produced by Mitrol, with PC / PLC / CNC integration, characterized by its “All in One” configuration. This system combines the functionality of an industrial PC, a programmable logic controller (PLC) and a numerical control (CNC) system in a single physical unit.

Inside the system, there is a single electronic board that combines a powerful x86 platform intended for managing the user interface with a dual core Arm platform dedicated to executing processes in real time. The latter can manage both EtherCAT and CAN.

One of the defining features of the Polaris System is its fanless design, which eliminates the need for cooling fans, contributing to greater reliability and operational life. Furthermore, the system boasts a high IP65 protection rating, ensuring resistance to the ingress of dust and liquids.

The 22″ LCD display offers a high-quality and interactive visual experience thanks to capacitive multi-touch technology. This feature allows users to interact with the system intuitively, improving operational efficiency.

In the system, in addition to the display, there is both a PC keyboard with touch pads and a functional keyboard. The functional keyboard, managed directly by the PLC, guarantees integrated control of customer-specific functions. Both keyboards are physically connected to the display, thus creating a single and cohesive body, which improves the overall ergonomics of the system and offers users an integrated and intuitive experience.

• Modularity

  The system features a mechanical connection compliant with the VESA standard, allowing for flexible installation both from below, ideal for pedestal applications, and from above, suitable for arm installations. This versatility offers the possibility to adapt the system to different configurations and operating environments.

  Furthermore, there is the option of adding a second 22″ monitor to the system, also equipped with a capacitive touch screen. This feature expands the system’s capabilities, allowing users to extend the viewing and interaction area. The capacitive touch screen on the second monitor contributes to even more intuitive management of the system’s functions.
